Heather Raymond is an expert in child development who has spent over a decade advocating for children.
Mrs. Raymond earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Worcester State University. She worked as a Child Protective Social Worker for 12 years. She began her career in upstate New York where she specialized in working with children who had experienced severe trauma before moving to Nashua in 2010 and working for NH Division of Children Youth and Families.
A large part of Mrs. Raymond’s professional experience in New Hampshire has been visiting local schools, participating in IEP meetings, and navigating Special Education Law. Additionally, Mrs. Raymond worked for CASA of New Hampshire for a short time supervising Guardian ad Litems assigned by the court to advocate for the needs of children in foster care.
Mrs. Raymond retired from full-time social work in early 2017 to stay at home with her children. She volunteers with local community service agencies that focus on serving underprivileged children and families in Nashua. Her children attend Birch Hill Elementary School.
