The District completed the implementation of The Road Ahead: 2009-2014
, a five year strategic plan with a focus on the district's mission: attaining academic success for each student. Each year this plan has been updated with annual strategies and actions. To view the final 2013-2014 annual plan update please click here
. Building on the success of The Road Ahead
strategic plan, in December 2013 the Nashua Board of Education accepted the report of its Ad Hoc Goals and Objectives Committee, which has recommended district-level goals and objectives for the coming years.
The Board established the Ad Hoc Goals and Objectives Committee in June 2013. In opening remarks at the initial meeting, Committee Chair Elizabeth Van Twuyver reiterated the mission of the Nashua Board of Education and its role as an overseer of District goals and objectives.
In November of 2013 the Ad Hoc Goals and Objectives Committee actively solicited feedback from the school community and the community at large to gain their views on teaching, learning, and the management of Nashua’s public schools. The surveys were written for five specific audiences: Principals and Assistant Principals, Teachers, Parents, Students, and Others. A summary of the results, written by Kimberly (Muise) Kleiner, an Ad Hoc Goals and Objectives Committee member, and comprehensive survey results can be found by clicking here

Based on a review of survey results, the Committee issued a Final Report
at the December 16, 2013 meeting of the full Board. Key elements of the Final Report are divided into two categories: Budget Related Items (Class Size and Technology) and Non-Budget Related Items (Retention, New Initiatives, Discipline, and District Assessment and Accountability System).
