The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and the University of New Hampshire Discovery Lab are honoring five members of our high school communities.

NCWIT and UNH is recognizing the honorees for their leadership and their "outstanding aptitude and interest in computing and desire to pursue computing-related studies of occupations."

Lorna Spargo, a computer science teacher at Nashua HS South, is being honored with the NCWIT/UNH Educator Award. Ms. Spargo is being recognized as a teacher who inspires and encourages her students to pursue careers in the computing and information technology field. 

Congratulations! The award event will be held at UNH Manchester later this month, and will feature a keynote address by Middlebury College Computer Science Professor Amy Briggs. Again, congratulations!
