The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and the University of New Hampshire Discovery Lab honored five members of our high school communities.

NCWIT and UNH recognized the honorees for their leadership and their "outstanding aptitude and interest in computing and desire to pursue computing-related studies of occupations."

Lorna Spargo, a computer science teacher at Nashua HS South, was honored with the NCWIT/UNH Educator Award. Ms. Spargo was recognized as a teacher who inspires and encourages her students to pursue careers in the computing and information technology field. 

Congratulations! The award event was held at UNH Manchester in April this month, and will featured a keynote address by Middlebury College Computer Science Professor Amy Briggs. Again, congratulations!
