Congratulations to South Math Team for finishing first in the large school division of NH-SMASH League!

Led by Captains Nisha Devasia, Class of 2017, and Sathvika Korandla, Class of 2018, the team's top finish is its ninth consecutive win state-wide, and members now advances to the state championship competition next week at Plymouth State University.

The Team has been competing regularly since fall, and is coached by Kellie Gabriel, head teacher for mathematics for South. Coach Gabriel reports several of the phenomenal team members secured individual recognition as well.

The South Math Team tied for most points in the group round of competition and, consequently, NH-SMASH officials awarded South and The Derryfield School, Manchester, with the Malcolm C. Purington Problem-Solving Award.
