On October 4, the Supreme Court of New Hampshire ruled in favor of the Nashua School District in its appeal to a Public Employee Labor Relations Board (PELRB) ruling.

The PELRB ruling had found that the school district had committed unfair labor practice by refusing to bargain with the local chapter of AFSCME, the custodian/janitorial union. The filing of the complaint was in response to the Nashua Board of Education's plan to subcontract custodial work
at the expiration of the AFSCME contract in 2016.
